Co-sponsored by Ideas That Matter, the Jane Jacobs prize ceremony was held on September 14, 2010. The Jane Jacobs Prize is funded by the Avana Capital Corporation, and includes an annual stipend of $5,000 for three years, to be used as the recipients choose. In addition, prize recipients are invited to meet together to discuss their experiences and knowledge of what makes this city work. This year’s recipients were: Spacing magazine, and Catherine Nasmith.
