In the Global News article “Bowman the heavy favourite in Winnipeg mayoral race: Political scientists”, IMFG Fellow Aaron Moore compared the campaign strategies of the front runner mayoral candidates in the October Winnipeg election.

IMFG Fellow Alexandra Flynn was mentioned in the Burnaby Now article, “What does the court decision quashing Ontario’s council-cutting move mean?”, commenting on the ruling against the Ontario Province’s legislation to reduce the size of Toronto’s City Council before the municipal election.

In the Toronto Star article, “Voters want Toronto to have more power. Is that possible?” IMFG Board Chair Alan Broadbent and IMFG Director Enid Slack explained how a mix of taxes and other sources of revenue would give Canadian cities more “fiscal autonomy” and the power to become internationally competitive.
