IMFG Fellow Alexandra Flynn examined the role of community councils for improving local democracy for CityLab. Alexandra also commented on the predominant local governance issues featured in the October 22 municipal election for CBC and National Post.

IMFG Fellow Aaron Moore commented on the rationale behind Section 37 of the Ontario Planning Act for the Toronto Star. Section 37 allows land developers to exceed height and density zoning regulations in exchange for community benefits that offset changes brought by the development.
